I love these sweet little shapes!  Using manipulated skinner blends to cover molded shapes, we will be able to construct this adorable set of chubby little acorns. You can mix and match tops and bottoms to get a wide variety of color combinations and set them all off with contrasting twists, dots and beads. If you are feeling adventurous you can trade with a neighbor to bring in an even wider color variation.

Students will learn techniques for creating painterly skinner blends as well as using”Ultralight”clay for both molds and the bead shapes that will get veneered. We will cover simple ways to Kaleidoscope our canes into some fantastic patterns, and cover finishing techniques.

This is a great class for both beginners and advanced students.  It will advance color confidence through mixing and working with painterly "Skinner" blends, and move into developing kaleidoscopic patterns with amazing diversity. Finally, students will be able to make a series of canes that can be applied to beads, or virtually any shape.
